چکیده

A large number of modelling tools and approaches that can be used for supporting waste management decisions at different levels in society have been developed. Examples include Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and different types of Material Flow Analysis (MFA), CostBenefit Analysis (CBA), Life Cycle Costing (LCC), different types of optimizing models, etc. The shear number of different methods that are available may be confusing and there is therefore a need to characterize the approaches in order to better understand the appropriateness of using different tools in different situations. The characteristics that will be used here are the types of impacts included and the objects under study. In this way preliminary guidelines for the choice of methods can be given.

Bayesian Analysis of Spatial Probit Models in Wheat Waste Management Adoption

The purpose of this study was to identify factors influencing the adoption of wheat waste management by wheat farmers. The method used in this study using the spatial Probit models and Bayesian model was used to estimate the model. MATLAB software was used in this study. The data of 220 wheat farmers in Khouzestan Province based on random sampling were collected in winter 2016. To calculate Bay...

Predicting waste generation using Bayesian model averaging

A prognosis model has been developed for solid waste generation from households in Hoi An City, a famous tourist city in Viet Nam. Waste sampling, followed by a questionnaire survey, was carried out to gather data. The Bayesian model average method was used to identify factors significantly associated with waste generation. Multivariate linear regression analysis was then applied to evaluate th...

Evaluation of optimal waste management in the plating industry based on the Delphi Method and Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (Case Study: Paitakht Industrial District of Tehran)

The plating industry is one of the main toxic chemicals consumers, which uses various chemicals, including solvents, acids, bases, cleansers, sophisticated organic ingredients, and metal salts of cadmium, nickel and chromium. Due to the growing production of industrial waste in spite of actions related to these wastes’ management, no comprehensive pattern was introduced at different levels. Thi...
